I am Jason Hornecker and I thrive upon the nature of rock n roll, along with what it means to be endless and unstoppable.

It all started with banging on pots and pans at three years old, and now here I am drumming for a band outside of humanity. I was born and raised in Conway Arkansas with heavy influences from the start. I grew up on outrageous rock bands like 'Lynch Mob' and 'P.O.D.' As a drummer, I was heavily influenced by 'Neil Peart', 'Ray Luzier', 'Danny Carry', 'Wuv Bernardo' and others. 

My own style of playing is a blend of a variety of genres including Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Nu Metal, Classic Rock and Trap Rock. Being a key member of the band Maynium has been the ultimate experience. Working with them has shown me a new generation of music thriving on passion. I grew up in a small town most of my life, and truth be told I prefer it that way. I grew up around many great musicians, both friends and family, who played a variety of music genres including Gospel, Southern Rock and Classic Rock.

Over the years I can claim a lot of influences in my playing style ranging from Bluegrass to Classic Rock and even Speed Metal. I feel that these influences have helped to define my style in the heavy music scene. Some of my inspiration comes from musicians like 'Jake E Lee', 'Adam Jones', 'Jerry Cantrell', 'Dave Mustane', 'James Hetfield' and 'Alex Skolnick'. 

My primary objective in 'Maynium' is to keep the track driving through fast precision down picking/alternative picking with the rhythm section, and the harmonies singing to a melody with the lead section. I strive to always display my tight, aggressive riffage and energy both in studio and on stage. It's all for the Mayniacs of course. Our new album 'Warhead' helps highlight this energy, and we hope you give it a stream.

I came out of the womb screaming and pretty much never quit. The first song I can remember was 'Man in the Box' by AIC.I am a scruffy headed, snot nosed, foul mouthed beer drinking menace to society. What can I say? It's in my blood.

I grew up in a musical family and fell in love at an early age with the rambuctious nature of Rock and Metal music. 'Layne Staley', 'Chris Cornell', 'Matt Shadows', 'Myles Kennedy' and 'Phil Anselmo' are just a few of the artists who etched their voices into my prepubescent brain long before I ever knew how to channel my own vocal powers. Over time I was able to imitate, emulate and eventually master some of the vocal techniques that my heroes used to achieve their sound.

Now, alongside my brothers in 'Maynium', I seek to impose my vocal prowess upon the masses. Stream our newest album "Warhead' for a taste of our growing talent.
